Wake Up & Smell The Coffee

I had a vision come to me
The Lord with wounds that bled
He came up close to talk to me
And I fell down as dead
His eyes were deep and filled with truth
To which I could be led
Then he picked me up and spoke
And this is what he said

Wake up and smell the coffee son
I’m comin back today
Clean up your act and walk my path
Or else your gonna pay
There's gonna be a judgement son
All men's sins will be displayed
I’ll reap the fields and burn the chaff
And then I’m gonna stay.

I’m gonna stay and make the world
A Godly place to be
When I get there to those who come
I’ll surely give the key
To eternal life, undying love
Then everyone will see
That I am Lord, Creations King
There’s none more great than me.

Wake up and smell the coffee Church
Go live what you believe
Look to me and not the world
Or forever you will grieve
Be aware of constant danger
Or the Enemy will deceive
Time is short so follow me
And your woes I will relieve.

AUTHORS NOTE:
World, wake up and smell the coffee! You are going the wrong way and your destruction is sneaking up on you. Enough said. Church, wake up and smell the toast! Leave behind your religion and popular Christianity, stop playing at church and live it.

The Sinners Lament

The day of the trial has come about,
The Angels are reaping, North and South,
All sinners are queued awaiting their turn,
To be judged, to be thrown, forever to burn.

One looks to the other for courage and support,
But no other cares, compassion is naught,
They have their own terrors, sorrow and cares,
The full weight of the law on their shoulders they bear.

As the line shortens ones restlessness grows,
Is that sulphur he smells with his spiritual nose?
What's going to happen? What’ll become of me?
What lies ahead? What can there be?

Begging and screams can be heard from up front,
But the line still moves forward without incident or stunt,
He can’t stop his movement, there’s no place to run,
At last he’s arrived. His judgements begun.

Flat on his face before the God he ignored,
Restrained by Angels with flaming swords,
Tears of fear flowing from terrified eyes,
As he listens to those who preceded him cry.

The order is given to open the books,
For a sign of his name the Angels look,
When nothing is found, his life comes under scrutiny,
Every sin is remembered and his spiritual mutiny.

The command is heard for him to be taken,
And cast into the lake of eternal damnation,
Trembling and pleading, he screams his contrition,
Too late to avert punishment for a life of perdition.

As he falls from the Heavens to torture below,
Banished and forsaken, with the others he’ll go,
To a Christless eternity where tears will be shed,
Forgotten, ignored, spiritually dead.

For pity’s sake don’t let this happen to you,
Find the truth in the Bible and live to pursue,
The path to redemption and freedom from fear,
Live forever with God, in your heart hold him near.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Close your eyes and picture a close relative or friend who is not saved, then put them in the queue with all the other sinners. It’s very upsetting to think of your Spouse or Mother in this terrible position isn’t it. Although the long queue is an unlikely scenario, the feelings of the sinner on the Lord’s day described above are spot on. Wouldn’t it be terrible for us or our families to know the terror of the Lord for the sake of one mistake. We must be quick to confess sin and seek forgiveness lest that day come upon us as a thief.

The Church's Warning

All churches of modern society take heed,
Are you right with God? Are you up to speed?
Read on and determine which category you’re in,
Then act accordingly or your future is grim.

Do the first works get done or are your labours spread thin?
Or have you left your first love by the fall into sin?
If you have then repent! Or Jesus will come upon thee,
And remove you and your church from his grace eternally.

Though you dwell beside Satan, you are faithful and sure,
You are spiritually rich, but in the flesh you are poor.
When suffering comes hold fast, don’t despair,
Overcome to the end and a crown of life you’ll wear.

Are there those among you who hamper the rest?
With impure doctrines, putting all to the test.
Repent, overcome and forgive seventy times seven,
And receive hidden manna and reward of Heaven.

Do you allow false prophets to seduce you and teach?
Or are you not fooled by their deceptive speech?
Don’t be blind sheep, hold fast to the Word,
The Lord’s victory you’ll share when his shout is heard.

Though your works say to others “Look, we are alive”,
I tell you your dead! For Jesus ways you must strive.
To be perfect for God, repent and again be born,
Or from the Lambs Book of Life your name will be torn.

If God's Word you have kept and not shown denial,
He’ll protect you from enemies and the worlds trials.
The door will be open so hold on to your crown,
You’ll be pillars of strength. On the weak you’ll frown.

If you are lukewarm and through life you are coasting,
You’ll be spewed out of God’s presence, forever toasting.
You may appear rich, but your poor inside,
Take Jesus’s riches and in his righteousness reside.

By now you know where your church fits in,
Don’t fool yourself, be honest, admit your sin.
The Lord loves a sinner who is willing to change,
So don’t feel threatened, abnormal or strange.

If your church wont adjust for the Lord then I say,
Get out of her friends and find the true way.
Seek out the persecuted, humble and contrite,
For they are the Saints who have got it right.

AUTHORS NOTE:
I have to say that there are a lot of churches out there that fall into the above categories, (for some that is good news). All people are easily misled no matter what denomination they belong to. The Enemy knows this and will use it to his advantage always, by introducing false doctrines or teachings into what used to be a Bible believing congregation. We all need to examine our spiritual lives constantly in conjunction with Biblical guidance, to “pull the weeds out of our gardens”, and stay in touch with God’s will.

Milennium Stuff

As the century closes, a milestone is reached,
For two thousand years the Gospel’s been preached.
Jesus Christ is a name known to all of mankind,
Yet all but a remnant are stubborn and blind.

Although the Bible gives hope, people choose not to read,
No matter their colour and no matter their creed.
They fall for ideals that are popular and smart,
They listen to their heads instead of their hearts.

It’s a brand new millenium. Dawn of the New Age,
Man creates his own destiny and pays his own wage.
You too can be God, he’s a part of all things,
Just harness life’s powers and spread your mind’s wings.

Our future looks bleak, a world drowning in war,
People believe what Nostrodamus saw.
Hemispheres destroyed, global nuclear disaster,
Man moves along fast, but fate’s even faster.

There’s comets and meteors headed this way,
Collision with Earth is what scientists say.
The Dinosaurs went out the same way you know,
Toward global extinction, man’s on the go.

Crashing Tsunamis are what some Psychics think,
Whole coastlines and cities washed into the drink.
Move up to the mountains is the favorite advice,
Withdraw from society and let the rest pay the price.

The Millenium Bug will wreak havoc new year’s eve,
The computers will crash so the Boffin’s beleive.
Starving people will riot and chaos will rule,
So stock up on provisions and don’t be a fool.

But what I don’t get is as follows my friends,
In relation to things of the millenium’s end.
Why do people beleive man’s silly stories,
And scoff at the God of infinite glories?

So if you think the millenium is the end of all things,
I can tell you it’s not over till the fat lady sings.
But the fat lady’s quiet, her voice wont be heard,
For she knows the truth of the everlasting Word!

AUTHORS NOTE:
All I can say to you who may be searching for an answer to the plight of this confusing, dying world is this. Don’t beleive everything you see in the papers, hear on the news or read about in science magazines. In their desperation to find answers to lifes meaning people often forget the one book that contains all the answers any person could ever ask, the Bible. Between it’s pages lie the answers to questions like “How will the world end” and “How will we feed the starving”. Please don’t be fooled by the cleverness and seemingly straightforward doctrines that are around these days. Hear everything, but take what you have heard and compare it and test it against the Word of God and I guarantee you that anything that is false will not stand up against it.

Man's Last Day

What will occur on the day of the Lord?
The day when the last trump is heard.
What chain of events will affect life on Earth?
From Mankind to the smallest Bird.

Just stop and think about what you will say,
When the Lord of Hosts calls out your name.
Will you step forward and hold your head high?
Or hide as you cower in shame.

And what of the world and it’s ungodly ways?
What force can it field on that day?
Are armies of men greater than God?
Can weapons of war keep Holy vengeance at bay?

And what of the sinner? Can he run and hide?
When he realises the truth of the Word.
At the end it’s too late to change and repent,
Will his pleas for mercy be heard?

And how will the Lord’s countenance appear?
He once was the Lamb but no more.
This time as the Lion, snarling with wrath?
A frightening sight to the spiritually poor.

And how much deeper will man’s terror be?
When his glorious works cannot stand.
His towers are rubble, his Kingdoms are waste,
At one touch of the Holiest hand.

And where is man’s courage on his worst day?
When the rivers of blood overflow.
When the bodies are stacked to the mountain tops,
Where does his pride and boasting go?

And what of the Serpent and his Army of death?
Now that their damage is done.
Do they chuckle and jibe at a docile world?
That they’ve led to the pit just for fun.

But what of the Church on this great day?
When service is paid it’s reward.
Are they in the arms of the Father they’ve loved?
Untouched by the vengeful, Holy Sword.

I think they’ll be heard all over the world,
As God judges the hearts of men.
With unequalled joy they’ll look to the Earth,
And they’ll pray, “Even so, Amen”.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Where will you be on that day? If you don’t know God you better ask yourself this question and choose a side. There is only two sides to choose from, the winners and the losers. It is predestined by God that Satan and the world are not the winners, but the choice is yours to decide your own way. Those in the Church might want to take a good look at themselves and ensure that they can stand before God blameless and without blemish. As for me, I’m stocking up on scouring pads and getting busy on those stubborn stains!!

From Lamb To Lion

A lawless world abounds with sin,
And grief and sorrow rule therein,
Rebellious people ruled by the flesh,
As the gears of justice wait to mesh,
For one comes soon with his rod of iron,
The once slain Lamb will become the Lion.

Religion has turned to worldly things,
Churches follow the kingdom instead of the King,
Witness is lost due to social events,
A flock is created that sits on the fence,
But it’s not yet too late, all hope is not dyin,
Look back to the Lamb before the Lion.

Those desperately searching for meaning and truth,
Are deceived by false doctrines, devilish and uncouth,
Through life they go blindly, in ignorant bliss,
Unaware that they walk on the rim of the abyss,
Good works are for naught despite the tryin,
Take hold of the Lamb before the Lion.

Peace and goodwill are today’s popular words,
But when God’s word is read a different message is heard,
Man seeks to unite under one common goal,
Unaware of the danger awaiting his soul,
Worldly trends and ideals are a lot worth denyin,
Give yourself to the Lamb before the Lion.

Wars must be fought on land and on sea,
The crime rate must grow, it’s destined to be,
Disasters will strike all around the Earth,
Money will lose all its glitter and worth,
But God commands all from his throne on Mt. Zion,
Live life for the Lamb before the Lion.

Back stabbers wait to lunge with their spears,
Gossips feed on humiliation and tears,
People make judgments based on hearsay,
Self important they live for their own wicked way,
But the day will soon come when they do the cryin,
Run to the Lamb before the Lion.

As values decrease and morals decline,
A wicked generation seeks after a sign,
They’re looking so hard they’ll believe anything,
Without thought to the consequences this will bring,
It’s not answers and wisdom but destruction they’re buyin,
Listen to the Lamb before the Lion.

But those in the Word have a higher belief,
Aware that the end will come as a thief,
They wait watch and work just like they are told,
So they can approach the throne of Grace bold,
So make your way clear, on Christ be relyin,
Belong to the Lamb before the Lion.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Jesus has already fulfilled his role as the lamb to the slaughter. Because the full burden of our sin was placed squarely and fully on his shoulders, those who accept his gift and live under his redeeming blood can now enter where they were previously banished from. Heaven. But when Jesus returns, (and the Bible says he will return), he will no longer be the lamb, but an angry, savage lion ripping apart all those who dare to cross his path. Our God is a loving and forgiving God but his Word tells us clearly that eventually the Grace will dry up and it’s place will be filled by wrath. Dear Saints, we must work to guide sinners to the Lamb so that they can partake of his grace, as we ourselves remain and partake, before it is too late. God is in control of all things but if we do not do our part we may very well find ourselves in the path of the angry Lion.

The Martyrs

Caesar looks on from his throne of power,
And he smiles as the people cheer,
But in the arena, a family cowers,
As they farewell each other with final tears.

The wild beasts are loosed, mad with fright,
A family embraces with prayers and goodbyes,
As tender flesh tears the animals fight,
And they feed on the bodies of a people despised.

In the dungeon he sits starving and cold,
The inquisitors come to extract a confession,
He’s burnt with hot irons though he’s feeble and old,
And the tongue screw brings agony too great to mention.

Hooks are shoved through his soft fleshy parts,
Then ripped out by force again and again,
The whip and the rack strike fear to his heart,
But he holds on to Jesus in his hours of pain.

Chained to the stake for heresies spoke,
She looks upon the pharisees bound to their law,
Yet she still feels compassion for their terrible yolk,
But as she prays for their souls they hate her the more.

The fire is lit but the wood’s damp and green,
In anguish she struggles unable to die,
Held up out of the flames, no mercy is seen,
For preaching the Bible she’s roasted alive.

A township of folks who believe on the Word,
Go about their business in peace,
Then breaking the stillness a warcry is heard,
And upon them the wrath of the world is released.

The women are raped then empaled on stakes,
The men are gutted and dragged through the streets,
Soldiers club children and laugh as bones break,
And a people once persecuted now sit at their Lord’s feet.

A bullet is fired and it cuts through the air,
It impacts flesh with a thud,
Death strikes down the man who would dare,
Spread the message of redeeming blood.

Violent rioters target the church,
God’s children are beaten and killed,
Troubles go where they go, they don’t have to search,
With trials and pain their cups are filled.

And we must ask ourselves, “Where would we stand,
If we had to die for our faith”,
Would you suffer and die for the Lord’s promised land,
Or run away and hide in disgrace.

But the days are upon us, the time is near,
When the pleas of the Martyrs are heard,
The Father of Lights will wipe away every tear,
And his vengeance will be true to his Word.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Oh how we groan and moan about the petty problems that haunt us in day to day life. I know just as well as anyone that when the car breaks down or when the money just wont cover the bills, we wonder if God has forgotten us and try to find out what we have done to deserve this punishment. But when you put these problems on the slab and disect them for autopsy, they really are nothing. There are people being tortured and killed in the world today for the crime of being Christian, for the crime of being different. In places like the Sudan, Pakistan, Indonesia, India and China believers are being bashed, burned, shot, stabbed, dragged behind moving vehicles and whipped publicly for their faith. And if they live through their ordeals they are being imprisoned in slave labour camps or exiled. But it has been this way since the Lord ascended and it was meant to be this way. The coals are being heaped on the heads of the unbelievers by their very own actions against God’s children. But don’t take comfort in the knowledge that this is happening in far away places, for the day is coming sooner than you realise, when this persecution will be happening on our very own doorsteps. And you like me, need to ask ourselves if we are up to the challenge. Will we be able to drink from the same cup as Jesus? Or will we find it all too hard and hide away from it, or even deny our God to save our skins. God forbid. It pays for us to remember the Lord’s words in Luke 12:4-5. “Fear not him who kills the body and can do nothing else, but fear him who can kill the body and after has power to cast into Hell, I sy to you, fear him.”

The Facts Of Life

To walk down the street is a hazard at best,
They know we are different, unlike the rest.
They call us God Botherers, Bible Banger and Freak,
Because the life of Jesus is what we seek.

We can’t park our cars, they get trashed if we stay,
The fish on the window’s a dead give away.
At the sight of our Bible's, folks sneer and gork,
To read such a book we all must be dorks.

Schoolies, they mock and offer rude gestures,
If we preach without permits Police will arrest us.
We’re dirt underfoot to young lovers unwed,
Mobs of angry sinners want us dead.

The media crack jokes and cast dispersions,
The Lawyers create never ending diversions.
Committees and Councils throw spanners in the works,
Because Christians are just fanatics and jerks.

Protesters will sit and blockade our meetings,
There’s problems with utilities and problems with seating.
Our houses are tagged by vandals and thugs,
Our families are bashed, our phones are bugged.

The Government raids at the drop of a hat,
For the kids sake it’s done. How about that?
There’s nowhere to hide and nowhere to run,
So let’s look to God and draw strength from his Son.

You see we’re not the first and we wont be the last,
There’s no point flying our flag half mast.
Be exceedingly joyful and exceedingly glad,
That we are found worthy to be treated this bad.

Our day is coming, the time is near,
Persecution will end. Then who will fear?
The good Christians? Oh no! Their hearts are aflutter,
As Jesus’s wrath cuts through the world like butter.

Vengeance is mine says the King, our Lord,
Wiping corruption from the blade of his sword.
Who’s the freak now? Look at them run,
The terror of the Lord has finally begun.

So pity the world as it stones us to death,
Save as many as we can to our dying breath.
To know what is coming and do nothing is sin,
Be their example and take it on the chin

AUTHORS NOTE:
No one likes to be picked on, but unfortunately it becomes our lot in life once we devote our life to God’s service. Not only do we cop it from Satan and his horde, but our fellow men who have not realised Christ’s sacrifice, give it to us as well out of ignorance. It pays to remember, that the hotter things get for us here on this world, the better it will be for us in God’s kingdom. And if we do not react to the taunts and tribulation of the unbelievers, the coals will be heaped on their heads all the more. Powerful stuff when you start to ponder on it isn't it.

Voices In Your Head

The voice of our God is gentle and smooth,
Persuasive and loving, but strong.
He guides us to right with his Spirit of power,
He leads us with grace to where we belong.

The Enemies voice is a deafening noise,
Resounding between our ears.
He tempts us with worldly ways and ideals,
He wants to control us with cumbersome fear.

So compare the two voices and hear what they say,
Then make a responsible choice.
For our lives are our own, God gave us free will,
But at your own risk follow evil’s voice.

AUTHORS NOTE:
We all must ignore the foghorn and listen to the whisper of the Lord, Although it is our free choice to choose our own path. As always the Lord knows what’s best for us and it’s in our best interest to follow his leading.

Under Attack

To serve the Lord is to declare opposition,
To Satan and his dark horde.
Because of our righteous and holy decision,
We feel the touch of his fiery sword.

In all we do interference is certain,
I’m not going to play it down.
To behold the bright sun we must draw the dark curtain,
We must fight to obtain a crown.

Worship and praise attract Demonic attention,
They want it stopped no matter what.
And of course prayer rates a mention,
Our communication lines they will knot.

Our daily lives they’ll interrupt,
To try and rob our faith and peace.
Relationships, family and our jobs they’ll disrupt,
When they can they’ll use law and Police.

The warfare is mostly sneaky and subtle,
They are there when we least expect.
But the name of Jesus is a strong rebuttal,
His power and authority they respect.

When we don’t feel to pray or wait on the Lord,
We’re probably under attack.
So pray all the more, swing the spiritual sword,
And stick it in Satan’s back.

For his cunning and wiles will draw us away,
From the God we long to be with.
Our relationship with God he attempts to fray,
He would have us believe he’s a myth.

So learn to determine the voice of our Lord,
He’ll keep us safe under his wing.
By a raging bull we’ll no longer be gored,
Death will have lost it’s sting.

AUTHORS NOTE:
The message is simple. To follow Jesus Christ is a good way to attract Demonic attention. No matter what you do they’ll be at you, whether it’s in prayer, praise or your normal day to day life. They attack you through your job and they attack you through your finances, anything that will take your mind off the Lord and challenge your faith. The effect that these attacks have on us totally depends on our actions and attitudes at the time. For example, the strong established Christian may shrug off an attack and immediately praise the Lord for being found worthy to pass through the fire, whereas the babe may be overcome with doubts (sometimes the other way around). Being far from perfect in these areas myself, all I can say is that we must strive to keep our eyes, hearts and minds on God at all times, have faith and stand.

The Wandering Warrior

A wanderer seeks the anointed way,
He is aware of the price that he must pay.
He is born again and Spirit filled,
Washed in the blood of the Lamb once killed.

Though his strength is iron his will is clay,
A pillar of granite but easy to stray.
On the call of his Shepherd he must rely,
Or be lured by the ravenous wolves hungry cry.

Through dark valley and chasm he is destined to go,
Into rivers of fire, and blizzards of snow.
Exhaustion and scorn are his only friends,
To the will of his God he faithfully attends.

Through physical perils his spirit stands firm,
He knows this world is a barrier for but a short term.
He must follow the light, he must overcome,
He must dance to the beat of the Heavenly drums.

To enter the narrow gate takes effort and sweat,
And though many are trying they are not there yet.
But the wanderer knows he must battle to enter,
He will pass through with scars and armour that’s dented.

So the warrior fights and wanders the world,
His roof is the sky, his Bible his pearl.
The work of his Lord he will do to the death,
Spread the Gospel of truth to his dying breath.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Attaining salvation is easy, but hold on to it for dear life. It is so easy to be led astray by the deceptive powers of the enemy. As when a sheep goes astray, and leaves the watchful eye of the Shepherd, he becomes food for the ravenous wolves that roam the Earth. We must fight our spiritual enemy on spiritual terms, sticking to the rules given to us by God and never leave his protective cover to try and deal with things by ourselves, in the flesh.

Tools Of The Trade

The work of the Lord to be done on the world,
Requires special tradesmen’s tools.
They’re sought after and kept as the rarest pearl,
More precious than gold or jewels.

The Word of Wisdom that interprets God’s will,
Shows a clear path to walk.
Divine power to solve problems without pencil or quill,
Knowledge applied well in spiritual talk.

The Word of Knowledge that gives us the facts,
It brings revelation and aid.
Giving understanding and courage when the enemy attacks,
Our fears and misgivings are allayed.

Faith is the rock which supports our belief,
God is believed without doubt.
Adversity flees, faith keeps it’s reign brief,
Unbelief cannot stand, the enemy is thrown out.

Now Healings bring glory to God through his grace,
The crippled and lame are made whole.
The sick and diseased need to seek the Lord’s face,
And their bodies are healed with their souls.

The Working of Miracles puts all evil to shame,
The power of God most high.
The captives bonds fall under Heavenly flame,
intervention for good, proves the Lord’s day is nigh.

The Prophesy gift gives us words from our Lord,
Information proclaimed in God’s name.
The Holy Spirit speaking against the dark horde,
Edification to some, to others blame.

The Discerning of Spirits is a weapon of war,
A spiritual radar to warn.
Why fight in the dark, there’s light at the door,
In the realm of the Spirits, we act as God’s pawn.

Now Tongues is a gift that some can’t swallow,
It’s a language unknown to the speaker.
Holy Spirit inspired speech, we should gladly follow,
For edification and better prayer be a seeker.
Interpretation of Tongues reveals hidden meaning,
For the gain and advantage of all.
It comes from the Lord and not man’s thinking,
As a sign it breaks through unbelief's wall.

Use your gifts often for God’s greater glory,
Keep the tools of the trade at the ready.
Adapt your life to the Jesus story,
And in the church be a rock, strong and steady.

AUTHORS NOTE:
What a force for the Lord we would be if we could have all these spiritual gifts. Lets not spend time developing our gifts, but get out and use them. That’s what they are given to us for. These valuable gifts are available to us for our own edification as well as being convincing signs to unbelievers.

The Holy War

The battle between good and evil is on a battleground filled with trenches,
The gloves are off the swords are drawn, death to evil and it’s stenches.
Our position in this is a crucial one, we’re standing in the middle,
To avoid defeat, the armies of darkness, with our delicate souls must fiddle.

Our communications with God they’ll debilitate,
With lies abuse and heresy they’ll saturate,
With their beauty and light they’ll captivate,
Their importance and position they’ll extrapolate,
All that we hold sacred they’ll desecrate,
Our security and faith they’ll dissipate,
Worldly ways and doctrines they’ll dictate,
All suffering and hurt they perpetuate,
Our day to day lives they complicate,
An eternity in torment they would have us cremate,
The victory of Jesus they try to negate.

But if we remain in our armour steadfast and strong,
With the companies of Angels we’ll know we belong.
God gives us the strength to hold our position,
His Spirit gives courage against all opposition.

All our worries and weariness he’ll alleviate,
His people, from all sin he’ll exonerate,
Over battlefield skies his love will radiate,
Holiness and iniquity he will eternally separate,
Evils speedy defeat he will facilitate,
Our weapons and spiritual gifts he will consecrate,
The enemies influence he will stop and encapsulate,
All his creation he will stamp and authenticate,
With the victims and martyrs he will commiserate,
He will judge all Earth harshly, with no debate,
For sinners and darkness, the ultimate magistrate.

The evil ones know that their time is short,
On thin ice they stand, with no means of support.
They bluster and threaten, all puffed up and boasting,
Knowing full well that soon they’ll be roasting.

Into false churches and doctrines they urge to participate,
They say that their leader is the most powerful potentate,
Stories of heroes and victories they fabricate,
Our hearts, with fiery darts they lacerate,
Into laziness and sloth they would have us habituate,
With idols and statues they push us to affiliate,
The feelings of Saints they subvert and misappropriate,
The ways of the world they fine tune and machinate,
Disorder and chaos they promote and agitate,
Till the last trump is blown they want us to vegetate.

But resist the temptations and hold fast to the Word,
Overcome till the shout of Lord Jesus is heard.
Walk the good walk and fight the good fight,
Fend off the darkness and cleave to the light.

For God’s power and might before all he will declarate,
The books will be opened and the figures he’ll tabulate,
The spirits of his warriors he will vindicate,
The armies of darkness his sword will obliterate,
His glory, honour and majesty he’ll demonstrate,
The ending of time his voice will narrate,
For the hardships of life his riches will compensate,
The throne of the Earth Satan will abdicate,
To the Lamb who was slain all believers will congregate,
Principalities and powers before him disintegrate,
All of the fallen he will condemn and castigate.

Dig in with your heels and don’t give an inch,
It wont be a cakewalk, and far from a cinch.
Shake the moths off the armour and shore up the shield,
Overcome to the last and our future is sealed.

AUTHORS NOTE:
A long, long time ago their was a battle in Heaven. The rebels under God’s most senior Angel lost and were cast down to Earth. The battle may be over but the war certainly is not, (although it’s outcome is a predetermined victory to the Lord), and until the final trump of victory is sounded we must stand against the attacks of our God’s enemies. As the song goes, “Whatever Satan can do, God can do better”, (or something like that), we must draw strength from the fact that we are on the winning side and that all things are possible to us if we stand on our faith. However we cant forget who we are up against, and must treat our enemy with caution, for without Jesus as our Captain he would walk all over us without an ounce of effort.

The Dry Bones

In the valley of death in the spirit I saw,
The bones of an Army, a million or more.
Sun bleached and white, as dry as can be,
As I passed through the middle, no life could I see.

I wondered how such a great Army was beaten,
Why did they let their strength and faith weaken.
Slain and disgraced they lay on the ground,
Cut off and dried out with no hope to be found.

But the Lord in his mercy will cause them to live,
Sinew, flesh and skin he will give.
And then they will know that he is their Lord,
The truth of his Word, the touch of his sword.

And God through his grace, will give to them breath,
The spirit of life to overcome death.
For what good is the fire without the coals?
Why follow a plan without any goals?

As I looked on in awe the bones were re-knitted,
And the sinew, flesh and skin was re-fitted.
God breathed on them life and they stood up as one,
The will of the Lord, for his glory, was done.

God has reached down to the depth of the grave,
Giving life to the fallen, to give freedom, to save.
His Spirit will fill them to give them the call,
In his Church they will live, as God planned, one and all.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Death becomes life. The dry bones become Spirit filled warriors for the Lord. For those already in the Army, the Lord is faithful to help us up when we fall down, and forgive us when we fail. When you make the choice to follow Jesus, God reaches into the grave you were born into and forms a new creation from the old dry bones. We must ensure that we do not return to bones, once again to litter the ground. A sure way for an Army to be defeated and killed is to refuse to fight, so as God’s Army gets bigger, so does the fight.

Teamwork

Stand beside me and let worldly woes die
Let the wind blow your fears away.
Stand beside me and together we’ll cry
When we look towards home as we pray.

I’ll stand beside you and fill in the gap
A burden is lighter when shared.
Four eyes are better for seeking out traps
It’s a long road but others have dared.

Stand beside me and hold on real tight
From our task let’s not be turned.
Stand beside me when day turns to night
And despite the heat, we wont be burned.

I’ll stand beside you as the Lord stands by me
A solid rock never to move.
I’ll stand beside you and together we’ll be
A force that can only improve.

So stand as a team in the face of the world
Because two hearts are stronger than one.
Stand as a team with God’s banner unfurled
And the battle is already won.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Never let Satan trick you into believing that you are standing alone in the face of adversity. Look around you. See all the other saints near you. They are available to you for support in any form that you require. If you are experiencing a problem the chances are high that one of your fellow saints has already dealt with it and will be able to provide sound advice to help you deal with it. The Body of Christ is after all a body. All different parts operating together to make an efficient machine. If one part ails, then the whole body is affected. So don’t assume that the trials and tribulations of others are not your concern. Rather pitch in your share to fix the ailment for the love and betterment of the whole body.

Survival

The enemy’s tough, eats men alive,
Your spirit can weaken, take a nose dive,
Evil forces plot, it’s their job to connive,
If you’re unaware, they’ll deceive you with jive,
You’ll feel milked of your purpose, robbed of your drive,
And as you falter, Satan gives a high five,
Cause he’s master of trouble, King bee of the hive,
The road’s full of pitfalls, all the wires are live,
To make you stumble, all Hell will strive,
Your confidence and peace they will try to deprive,
We must stand through it all if to glory we will arrive,
And remember the thing from which strength we derive,
God’s still on his throne, so I know we’ll survive.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Hang in there fellow saints!! The going is tough and even though we are not tough but weaklings compared to our enemy, our Captain is not. Rely on him regardless of the strife you get into and he will deliver you. Be faithful to him in good and bad and he will stand by you. Even if you are not faithful he will stand by you anyway. I know (believe me, I know) that it is hard to remember this most basic belief of Christianity when you are neck deep in sewage but keep in mind that God can and will do wonders with the part of you that is clean.
Stand in the face of our enemy. That is all God asks of us. Resist the devil and he will flee from you in the mighty name of Jesus.

Jericho's Lesson

I know how you feel my suffering friend,
You think that the worry will never end.
In turmoil you live there's doubt in your soul,
No matter how hard you try, you can’t reach the goal.

Your witness and preaching falls on deaf ears,
No ground has been gained by shedding of tears.
Repeated defeats are taking their toll,
Your feeling deserted, stuck in a hole.

Whenever you speak, the barriers are erected,
Your labelled, laughed at, dismissed and neglected.
No chance is given for your words to be spoke,
Your left feeling hurt with a heart that’s been broke.

The walls are so strong they’ve been built over time,
The battlements tall, the defences refined.
You push and you push with your battering ram,
But your efforts are naught, your labours a sham.

For the King and the Princes and Powers inside,
Built the walls strong so they’ve somewhere to hide.
From the stronghold they rule, their orders they give,
In fear of losing their place to live.

But they were doomed before they began,
Because the Lord, in his wisdom, has given a plan.
A plan to rid loved ones of evil’s tricks,
It’s found in Joshua Chapter Six.

March around the walls in prayer every day,
You don’t need anything fancy to say.
Just listen to God, follow his lead,
And behind those walls you’ll plant a seed.

When the timing is right, the marching is halted,
The name of the Lord is loudly exhalted.
And the Lord’s mighty hand will smash the walls flat,
And as for the Enemies power; Well, that's that!

So it may look grim when the walls in place,
They might be showing an angry face.
But the Powers inside can’t match the Lord’s might,
So pray and be brave, and you’ll win the fight.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Nothing can stand against the Lord’s power. If we are faithful to follow his lead and willing to fight against a ruthless enemy, God will smash the strongholds that stand as a barrier in our path. So if you want the most stiff necked loved one saved, put on your battle gear and your marching boots and be prepared to use them otherwise the wall will not come down. God can, if it is his will, smash the wall without you, but we must be willing to work, fight and even die to break down the strongholds and free the captives inside.

Fighting Words

Walls come down at your command,
With the strength of the Lord we’ll make a stand,
The Word is the sword that strikes all hearts,
Keeping Satan at bay, and his fiery darts.

Your armour is strong, but without back,
There is no retreat only attack,
The Helmet, the Shoes, Belt, Breastplate and Shield,
A formidable force that will not yield.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Always be confident in the strength and protective value of the whole armour of God if used correctly. I am privileged to have actually witnessed the walls of Jericho be ripped apart by the power of God’s Word through the salvation of a friend. All is possible if we will only stand in Jesus’s name. We have been given the authority over the enemies power, that includes all principalities and strongholds.

Battle Fatigue

Bombs are exploding,
Bullets are flying,
The cries of the wounded,
The prayers of the dying,
The billowing smoke,
The searing of flames,
Death is searching,
Calling your name.

The rumble of armour,
Strikes fear to the heart,
The fighter jet sorties,
Blow buildings apart,
There’s nowhere to run,
Just dig in and wait,
Keep your head down,
Leave the rest to fate.

Mortar shells whistle,
And crater the ground,
Ear drums burst,
At war’s shattering sound,
Lives are ruined,
By battlefield stress,
Madness awaits,
With it’s bitter caress.

Poisonous gasses,
And biological stews,
The chemical killers,
Are tested and used,
And then there’s the threat,
Of the nuclear winter,
At the push of a button,
You’re burnt to a cinder.

They say wars are fought,
To defend and protect,
Yet the poor fight and die,
But not the worlds elect,
Because money is power,
And power means life,
To all those accustomed,
To twisting the knife.

But the man on the ground,
Who’s a pawn in the game,
Follows his orders,
Even if they’re insane,
Although he is tired,
His duty’s ingrained,
So he’ll soldier on,
And supress his own pain.

The saints are the same,
Through day to day life,
Under constant attack,
In turmoil and strife,
As soldiers we march,
And as soldiers we’re led,
Over obstacles placed,
On the world of the dead.

But our war is different,
From those of the Earth,
Our goals are eternal,
Planned before mankind’s birth,
But we still tire,
From battle fatigue,
Due to endless onslaught,
From the Satanic league.

But like all wars do,
Our war too will end,
And then my dear saints,
We’ll have time to mend,
So follow your orders,
And keep plodding on,
Till the final trump sounds,
And all war is gone.

AUTHORS NOTE:
We see it on the news every day. One nation of people at the throat of another nation of people. We sit and watch the news and shake our heads and say, “What’s the world coming to”? But to the man on the ground doing the fighting it is a different story. The deprivation intense fear, exhaustion, hatred and disgust are with him for the duration of the conflict and why does he suffer them? Because it is his job. Weather he beleives in what he is doing or not it is his job. In a world where Satan and his unseen army commands the hearts of unregenerate man, the goals and motives behind our earthly wars are usually power driven. The enemy must be defeated to achieve a better lifestyle for themselves at all costs. Well guess what, we as saints of God also are called for duty in a very different war, a war in the spiritual realm, but the feelings we get as we fight are similar to those of a soldier in an earthly war. We too get tired and fed up. We too are afraid of our enemies ability to strike us down and we too are polluted with feelings of hatred and disgust with our enemies. But unlike our earthly wars, our battles never end. They go on and on until the day we die and our eternity is sealed one way or the other. Sometimes the temptation to turn tail and run in the face of the enemy is strong. All we want is a warm, comfortable place to sleep, a good feed and safety. But this is not our lot. We must do our job, we must overcome, we must praise the Lord in all situations. As a soldier desperately fights an earthly war for his salvation, so must we. As a soldier looks to his commander for guidance, so must we. But when things get tough and the bullets are flying from all directions we have one advantage, our battle is already won!!!!!

Torn Between Two Spirits

At war with myself, the bad versus good,
Torn this way then that way from where I once stood,
Always in turmoil embroiled in emotion,
Like a cork set adrift in a storm tossed Ocean.

My mind wanders away to consider worldly things,
And my flesh follows on for the pleasures they bring,
But my spirit is longing for things more fulfilling,
The body is weak though the spirit is willing.

And Satan is there to urge the fight on,
And he wont go away till I’m dead or he’s won,
He heaps condemnation upon my struggling soul,
To steal, kill and destroy is his pride driven goal.

But why all this turmoil? Is the answer not clear?
There can be no struggle when God’s Spirit is here,
so why choose the wrong when it leads to a fight?
Just trust in the Lord and he’ll lead you to right.

So ask for his guidance to help pull you through,
The to-ings and fro-ings that go on inside you,
Turn away from the bad things that give temporary pleasure,
And God will bless you beyond all measure.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Don’t go through life feeling helpless and condemned for your weaknesses and tendencies to sin. You are not alone. Know this. Satan is laughing and rejoicing in your troubles that he has brought to your doorstep. Unlike us, he is good at his job. The condemnation only leads to further sin and forced sereration from the only one who can save you from it, so remember that the blood of Jesus washes away all stain of sin and the burden that it brings. Always confess your failings to God and he WILL forgive you.

The Wilderness

Lord where are you? I cant see your face,
I’m lost and forsaken, what is this place?
I stagger and swerve and in circles I walk,
I hunger and thirst and can hardly talk.

This desert is torment, I’m far from your ways,
Be merciful Father and shorten these days.
If not for your care I would already be dead,
I beg you to lead me to Paradise ahead.

Through faults of my own I wallow in sin,
I wait to be cleansed so my walk can begin.
Purge me with fire so your Spirit will reside,
In a brand new creation, an obedient bride.

I’m here now for training, to get up to speed,
I understand Lord, I realise the need.
I must learn the truth and behave as I should,
I’ll stand on my own as others have stood.

The lessons are hard, the muck and dust stick,
When the Lord applies pressure he lays it on thick.
I must wander on, keep lifting my feet,
The longer I tarry, the longer I’m beat.

Praise your name Lord for fine tuning my soul,
I walk trained and with purpose, so let’s rock and roll.
The hard way is best, good soldiers are formed,
Our enemies are routed and their strongholds stormed.

I’ve finally walked out. The wilderness is past,
I am rid of my troubles and settled at last.
The Father has blessed with the touch of his hand,
So I go preach the Son in a new and strange land.

Now I still wander, but with purpose and goals,
For the Lord, for his glory, I’m out winning souls.
Because God has invested his time and his love,
His cross I will carry until I meet him above.

AUTHORS NOTE:
We all have to be put in the wilderness for a time at some stage. How long we remain there depends on us. Some people stay there for their whole lives without even knowing that they are there and some learn their lessons early and move on to greater things. Though being purged by the fire is not usually pleasant, it is for the greater good as we come out better and cleaner than before. A good example of this would be a person with a bad temper. The Lord requires us to be even tempered, so he would send situations to this person constantly to test his patience. This persons time in the wilderness would depend on his ability to learn to act in a more Godly manner in the face of the enemy. Remember to praise the Lord in all things weather they be enjoyable or not. It's for our own spiritual good, after all, the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in a place that is not holy.

The Wicked Man

The wicked man spends his time on Earth,
Vocal and arrogant, justifying his worth.
But his ways and his actions are corrupt to the core,
If they don’t change for good, his destruction is sure.

His hatred of all that is right and is good,
Hangs over his head like the grim reaper’s hood.
It is aimed at all those who stand in his way,
And lands fully on those who have had their say.

His pride makes him strong, no wrong can he do,
But Hells fire, like manure, is stuck to his shoe.
The boasts and the bull for all who will hear,
His stories he tells so all men will revere.

Open faced lies are his weapons of war,
But the Lord who sees all is keeping the score.
He’ll use them to twist and to gain your trust,
And when push becomes shove, your bubble he’ll bust.

The filth from his mouth forms a verbal sewer,
But with each idol word, his days become fewer.
The curses and swearing make him one of the boys,
Blaspheming is a pastime of which he enjoys.

His heart is perverted, he is God’s gift to Women,
Each sin fans the fires in which he’ll be swimmin.
He says adultery and harassment are his day to day life,
If he’s not telling lies, then he’s in for some strife.

With the words of his mouth he backstabbs and bites,
But for judgement and death he is in the Lord’s sights.
His gossip is fowl from one to another,
Turning friend against friend and brother against brother.

Like a fisher he baits with a hook or a net,
But God sees his poverty and will collect the debt.
Persecution he heaps upon children of peace,
The flow of his venom is strong without cease.

I hope that a change comes over your heart,
That causes evil to flee, and goodness to start.
The alternative is bad, your fall will be swift,
Between God and yourself, an eternal rift.

AUTHORS NOTE:
How many wicked people do you know? I know a few, most of which don’t even know they are wicked, but some do, and they display all the above mentioned character traits. Keeping in mind that nobody is exempt from the Word of God, we must remember that if these people don’t turn to God, then they will be cut off as payment for their iniquity. No matter how much we hate the evil deeds of these people, we have to make certain we don’t hate them, and give them the chance to make a decision for Christ, or risk bringing destruction on ourselves.

The Chosen Few

So many are lost and can’t find their way,
All they have is a life of sin.
They have no way to fill the hole in their hearts,
And no idea where to begin.

There are people who pace the streets in the night,
And sell of themselves to survive.
They are used and abused, by society ignored,
But a loving God knows they’re alive.

There are people who live under cardboard roofs,
With nothing to call their own.
People see through them, they do not exist,
But in Heaven, their plight is known.

There are people who steal and rob by force,
Because one cannot live without dough.
They’ll survive at the expense of society at large,
But the Lord of all sees their woes.

There are people who live for the high of the fix,
Chemistry’s hope for the fallen.
From flophouse to clinic they go through life,
But their names the Lord Jesus is calling.

Then there’s those who seek love in the arms of a child,
Consumed by the fires of desire.
People are quick to condemn and harass,
But their Creator wants to raise them higher.

Then there’s those who depend on the bottle for hope,
Under the influence, all pain is distant.
Night follows day but each one is the same,
But God’s love for them is strong and insistent.

Then there’s those in despair, who don’t want to live,
Life is just not worth the trouble.
But if they seek Heaven and Lord of the Hosts,
His blessing will come on them double.

Then there’s those who are lazy, slothful and idle,
To them work is foreign, unknown.
They go through a life of indulgence and leisure,
But from Jesus Christ mercy is shown.

No matter how bad you are, or how bad your sin,
Forgiveness is there to be had.
Look up to the Lord and he’ll look back at you,
And your spirit will dance and be glad.

So give him your heart and he’ll do his work,
He’ll change you and make something new.
But remember your past so your heart will know,
That your now one of the chosen few.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Jesus is available to all people no matter how bad the deeds of their flesh may be. Remember that God can make the least into the greatest and quite often, it is the reformed sinner that makes the most dogged servant. I will always wonder at the miracle of salvation and the changes that come with it. It is an experience I would like to see others share, no matter what their past may be.

The Call To Repent

Repent and return to me says the Lord of Hosts,
And I’ll return to you.
For your ways cease when you give up the ghost,
Then my statutes and rules overtake you,

I will be merciful and remember no sin,
Cast out those who torment and chasten.
I’ll be a wall of protection. Be certain to win,
The fall of all evil I’ll hasten.

My servant the branch will save you from Hell,
My Spirit will strengthen and guide.
Dishonesty and theft I will curse and dispel,
Wickedness I will seal up and hide.

The Lord says my judgement will fall on all men,
To the four winds my Spirit will reap.
Chances you’ve had again and again,
So be watchful, alert and don’t sleep.

The choice is now yours to live or to die,
Let your blood be upon your own head.
If you don’t change your ways the Heavens will cry,
And under the Lord’s foot you'll be tread.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Based on the eight visions of Zechariah, this is a perfect example of the Lords mercy and love for all his people. He gives hope and promise to the most evil of us if we would only repent and return to his ways. How can one refuse such a generous offer from an all powerful, holy God?

Tempting Temptations

Always nagging, persistent and strong,
The voice of the Enemy calls.
To heed is to stray from where we belong,
Imprisoned by sinful walls.

Our weakness he knows, count on that,
Our will and resolve are tested.
But God gave us power to stand in combat,
Our strength will determine who’s bested.

The Evil One’s power is no small thing,
All men he could squash like a bug.
Like puppets with string we dance and sing,
His doctrines take hold like a drug.

But with God in our hearts we have a choice,
To sin or to follow the Lord’s example.
He leads us to truth with his gentle voice,
Underfoot, the Serpent is trampled.

So when temptations come let’s lift up our eyes,
And draw on the strength of our Saviour.
Use his sword to cut evils voice down to size,
Turn our backs to sinful behaviour.

AUTHORS NOTE:
We are all tempted and we all fail at times. Anyone who says they don’t sin has just surrendered to the temptation to lie. Temptation is everywhere. It’s on TV, Radio, Books, Computers, the list is endless. No matter how hard we try we cant avoid it in one form or another. All we can do, is do our best to recognise temptations for what they are and follow one of the most important instructions Jesus gave us; Overcome.

Secret Things

The secret things of man are buried way down deep inside,
We take them out and play with them when we think it’s safe to hide,
The secret joys and darkest sins that dwell in iniquities lair,
The private pleasures waiting to come out and breathe our air,
But these things that feel so good and keep our bodies entertained,
Will rob you of eternity and leave you feeling spiritually drained.

But I have some news to shock you and scare you to the core,
There is a just and holy God who lives forever more,
All seeing and all knowing he watches all our sinful acts,
He knows our deepest secrets friends I tell you as a fact,
For one day the books will open and our secrets shown to all,
And the un-repentant heart of man will suffer damnation’s fall.

So remember these things when you go home to let your secrets loose,
Don’t go through life led as the condemned to the hangman’s noose,
Cast off the chains that bind you to a life of constant sin,
Because keeping secrets from your God is a game you will not win,
Your better off without them if they’re bad enough to conceal,
So open your heart to mercy and grace and the rest the Lord will heal.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Do you have any secret sins lurking in your heart? If you are into pornography or adultery you do. If you are a gambler or drunkard you do. A secret thing is something that is cherished and practiced although sinful and an affront to God. A man may be able to outsmart his Pastor or his family but he can not outsmart or hide anything from God, no matter how careful and discreet he is. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are, whatever we do while we are here on Earth is observed by God and noted for future reference, whether it is good or bad. It pays to remember this before you take out your secret things from their dark place to play with them. Ask the Lord to show you how to deal with your heart and give it a good clean out, lest the rubbish pile grow too high.

Prayer For The Blind

You say you believe but you don’t know the Word,
You judge everything by the stories you’ve heard,
You wander through life as you joke and pretend,
You don’t give any thought to what waits at life’s end.

You wallow in sin but you think you live well,
You don’t realise there’s millions just like you in hell,
You walk this world blind but not by your choice,
You have heard all your life the enemies voice.

All the people you know are in likeness of mind,
All seek of the Earth and of the Earth they might find,
All live day to day seeking money and wealth,
All don’t see the judgement approaching with stealth.

All their wisecracks and teasing are aimed at God’s sheep,
All feeling self righteous each night before sleep,
All revel in works and philosophy of man,
All take what they want whenever they can.

Why can’t you see past the crooks on TV,
Why listen to everyone else except me,
Why bow to the opinions of a family in sin,
Why not push darkness out and let the light in.

Why carry on stumbling on a path full of holes,
Why not set your sights higher on Heavenly goals,
Why inherit your death when you can have life,
Why not change and behave like a good Christian wife.

I love you you see and my feelings won’t change,
I will always stand by you though you see me as strange,
I would die for you to have a chance to be free,
I want you to see a good example in me.

I hope that this work hits a spot in your heart,
I hope that that spot wants to make a new start,
I pray everyday that you’ll open your eyes,
I pray you’ll see through the Deceivers disguise.

AUTHORS NOTE:
To everyone with unsaved relatives I share your pain. But we must take comfort in the fact that God moves in his own time for the best good. I know that there are times when we don’t understand why God will not act and relieve our distress right this second, but this attitude only makes the pain greater. It is indeed a hard life we have chosen by believing in Jesus, even our own families ridicule us, but we should be joyful and unashamed in their presence so that they can see that they are the ones missing out on something.

Out With The Old

To put on the new man and be pleasing to God
The ways of the old man must go.
When we cast off old habits and shameful traits
Our love for the Lord we show.

The old mans way is to keep us down
Take from us the joy we have found.
A tool of the Enemy to rob us of faith
So we can be captured and bound.

The old man is the nagging voice
That feeds us doubt and hurt.
A negative influence to slow our growth
And grind us into the dirt.

But don’t despair there's something else
Within us, better and clean.
It’s a gift from God to a grateful Church
The new man, grand though unseen.

The new man is power from Heaven above
With which all things can be done.
It gives us the drive to do the Lord’s work
It proves that the fight can be won.

The new man inspires and gives us a goal
Our confidence grows day by day.
In Christ we are a new creation
Petty problems retreat away.

So let’s open our eyes to what is new
And throw out what is old.
Follow the lead of the new man within
Take authority, be confident and bold.

AUTHORS NOTE:
I’m not ready. I can’t do it. I’m a poor excuse for a Christian. Sound familiar? It does to me. That is the sound of your old man mouthing off. The new man which God has created in us is saying I will do it! I am ready! I am a fantastic servant for God! We have to remember that all things are possible to us if we believe, so lets set our goals and make positive steps to achieve them standing on faith in the face of obstacles, and let God do his work.

A Troubled Beginning

In the garden of plenty man served his Creator,
As caretaker master of all.
A son of God, no position is greater,
Happy to be at the Lord’s beck and call.

Beasts were created and presented to man,
He named them but no helper was found.
With mans rib while he slept God invented woman,
Henceforth trouble and stress were around.

Together they shared a comfortable life,
The Lord had provided all things.
Though naked no shame was on man and his wife,
In God’s fellowship and love they were Kings.

Then along came that Serpent to kick up a fuss,
The Woman he persuaded to err.
Man followed suite, in himself he did trust,
So they both ended up in the stir.

When the fruit was eaten and opened their eyes,
Their nakedness sprang into being.
To the bushes they ran to put on a disguise,
So God’s presence would pass without seeing.

But God saw and he knew the events taking place,
Man and Woman’s confessions confirmed it.
From the garden removed to exist in disgrace,
Cursed and banished, cut off from God’s Spirit.

To this day we live under the original curse,
Men work and in birth, Women have pain.
We fight with the Serpent, him we cannot disperse,
Until with God were reunited again.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Man, through his own sin, cut himself and his descendants off from the presence of God. In disgrace and under God’s curse, man has tried his hardest, by way of technology, to make his life easier and to soften his disgrace, distanced himself from God. The technology we cant do much about but we can avoid distancing ourselves further from God’s glory, by accepting gladly the free gift he brought for us with the blood of Jesus. Then repay the gift by adhering to the Word of truth, listening to the Holy Spirit and show the Lord that we are trees that will bear fruit.

You Are What You Watch

The television, modern society's disgrace,
We get our love tips from Melrose Place,
The Simpsons provide the families example,
The MTV music our senses does trample,
Soapies teach us our lessons of life,
Telecafe will find us a wife,
Satanic symbols on Cartoons each day,
Nightly News shows us the price we pay,
Hollywood Movies shoot fiery darts,
Actors who sacrifice morals for parts,
Sightings will detail our roots from space,
X-Files jams it into our face,
Commercials bombard us with greed and lust,
Springer’s guests bellow hot air in a gust,
Sitcoms get bolder and ruder each week,
Characters teach our kids to give cheek,
Star Trek urges us to boldly go,
Reality shows, our true poverty shows,
Our Horoscope daily to throw us off track,
All these and more stick the knives in our backs.

Why do we sit watch and vegetate,
The box of confusion, worldliness and hate,
Turn your attention to the Word of truth,
Receive God’s Spirit and turn yours loose.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Everything in today’s morally challenged society that is bad is available to the hungry viewer at the touch of their fingertips. It’s literally a fiery dart free for all being thrown right into your spirit, via satellite, courtesy of your friendly neighbourhood media network. If you’ve ever been into the home of a Buddhist you would have noticed the Shrine/s set up in a prominent, centralised position in the home. In Western society, the TV takes the place of the Shrine in our lounge rooms, with the chairs and other comfort items placed in adoration around it. God has been replaced by a box of glass and plastic that corrupts our spirits with worldly ideals, rather than edifying and strengthening us as the Lord does. It’s time for all of us to switch off and switch on!!!

Why Worry?

In this complex environment we’ve made for ourselves,
Our lives are riddled with worry,
Bit if into the things of God we would delve,
Our attitudes would change in a hurry.

Are you worried about bills? Can you pay them on time?
Are you worried about pollution? The Earth buried in slime.
Are you worried about work? Will you ever be employed?
Are you worried about fire? Will your home be destroyed?
Are you worried about crime? Are you the next target?
Are you worried about investment? Term deposit or stock market?

Do you worry about religion? Are you doing it right?
Do you worry about marriage? Will your spouse want to fight?
Do you worry about vandals? What and where will they strike?
Do you worry about hose guests? What food do they like?
Do you worry about cars? Will it move without towing?
Do you worry about the garden? Does the lawn require mowing?

Should you worry about food? Is it nutritious enough?
Should you worry about politics? All the bulldust and bluff.
Should you worry about storms? Are you safe under shelter?
Should you worry about airlines? Flying Quantas or Delta.
Should you worry about disease? Will you get sick and die?
Should you worry about heat wave? Are we going to fry?

Would you worry about violence? Are you going to get mugged?
Would you worry about spying? Are your phones being bugged?
Would you worry about flood? Will your life wash away?
Would you worry about super? Will the Government pay?
Would you worry about accidents? Is everything safe?
Would you worry about education? University or TAFE?

Why worry about inflation? The value of money.
Why worry about personality? Being serious or funny.
Why worry about earthquake? Will the buildings be rocked?
Why worry about your health? Are your arteries blocked?
Why worry about weight? Will I get fatter or leaner?
Why worry about your job? The grass is not always greener.

All these and more wear us down day to day,
We all feel and experience tension,
But if you give your worries to Jesus he’ll say,
What kept you? And look after you without exception.

AUTHORS NOTE:
I refuse to be a total hypocrite and tell you that I don’t spend half my life worrying about all the things mentioned in this poem, because I do. We all need constant reminders, that our stay on this world is only a drop in the ocean of eternity, and therefore any problems that occur while we are here, are of no great concern. The Lord is there to worry for us, we are here to serve the Lord.

Who Took Christ Out Of Christmas

As I walk down the street I see tinsel and bells,
The stores are all open and packed with shoppers,
The prices are high, all marked up to sell,
Never mind what is right or what’s wrong.

As I walk down the path, I see reindeer and sleigh,
They’re strung up on wires and bright with lights,
Yet underneath a trees boughs, a family lays,
Their home is the street, their roof is the night.

As I walk through the city I see Santa and Elves,
So jolly and fat with twinkling eyes,
But caring and love at Christmas have been shelved,
In a society where greed and pride is on the rise.

As I walk up the alley I hear Carolers sing,
Their voices are sweet with their message of peace,
But what comfort will singing or happy words bring,
As the crime rate grows higher and the victims increase.

As I look in the Church, I see people in prayer,
All looking solemn and dressed in their best,
But at the end of the season, will they still care,
Or will the suit go in mothballs and their praises go west.

As I watch the TV I hear the networks best wishes,
They say “Merry Christmas” and wish us all well,
Yet they serve filth and garbage on cathode ray dishes,
And provide the material to send us to hell.

I see Christmas Trees raised in the neighbors yards,
And festive light displays for all to see,
But Christmas for some is a time thats too hard,
There’s no money for puddings or presents under trees.

Christmas these days is a drain on the purse,
The meaning has gone and the reason forgotten,
For many the season is not a blessing, but a troublesome curse,
The world’s killed their joy and made Christmas time rotten.

We should turn our eyes back to the bright shining star,
On the night the world changed forever,
And remember how wise men and shepherds came from afar,
And Satan’s hold over man was severed.

A great gift was given, from God to mankind,
The gift of salvation was ours for the taking,
So if Christ is put back into Christmas we’ll find,
That a solution for strife’s in the making.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Please don’t let Christmas become a burden or a humbug to in your house. Even if you cant afford all the things that the world says you should have at Christmas, as a family you can still celebrate the most important gift ever given. If Satan can use the ways of the world and the pride of life to rob you of the joy that is yours in salvation, he has accomplished a small victory and will laugh at your misery. This world is self destructing saints. It is evident in the state of things around us. Even those who are lost know that there is something wrong with the world today. Always make sure that Christ is the focus of your Christmas and indeed every day of the year and if we take steps to pass the Word of God into the lives of others, then maybe a lot more people will be able to enjoy Christmas instead of dreading another Xmas.

The Wrong Answers

Since man took the fall and has been doing it tough,
Our hard lives we’ve been trying to ease.
But what is physically good can be spiritually tough,
In our search for comfort we’ve found disease.

Their are those who are vain and live for their looks,
Popularity and praise from others they seek.
But no preening will get us in God’s good books,
Fancy clothes wont help the spirit reach it’s peak.

Some turn to drugs to get by day to day,
Their salvation is wrapped in plastic.
But as the high leaves they are left in dismay,
For their spirit is empty, searching and frantic.

Others live to be butterflies social,
With friends every night on the town.
In pleasures and revelry their attitude is parochial,
In iniquity they wallow, in corruption they drown.

There are those who fight to prove their merit,
At the slightest excuse they’re in boots and all.
If it’s violence we sow, 'tis violence we inherit,
Each punch and kick hastens the fall.

In desperation some turn to the Psychiatrists chair,
The answers to their troubles are sought.
But there’s no help to be found in the hypnotic stare,
In the humanist traps like rabbits they’re caught.

Others relieve their hardship in a bottle or cocktail glass,
Through alcohol's mist, life’s blade is blunt.
But into God’s kingdom the drunkard wont pass,
Although he may seek it and earnestly hunt.

There are those who’s lives revolve around lust,
The world of porn and self satisfaction.
But those moments of pleasure are not worth the cost,
Fornicators, for eternity pay for their actions.

These are only a few of mans means of retreat,
From the hard and cold facts of existence.
But we choose our own path and there's no way to cheat,
Don’t bother with futile resistance.

Accept the fact that God is in charge,
And seek out his guidance and care.
Watch out for the traps of the Serpent at large,
And to salvation and glory you’ll be an heir.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Lets take a good look at ourselves and determine where our priorities lie. If our lives revolve around ourselves and the numerous worldly ways we can keep our minds and bodies occupied, how can we devote ourselves to pleasing the Lord and doing his work? Although I’ve tried my hardest, I cant find a mention anywhere in the Word, about it being acceptable to forsake God on account of our own personal wishes. So no matter how deep our wants, or how hard the Lord’s work may be, lets remember that whatever God may require of you, it is not as hard as dying on a cross.

The Wolf Within

Through meadows of green the flock wanders in peace,
Led by their Shepherd watching over their fleece.
They drink from calm water and rest without fear,
To each others company they rally and draw near.

But watch for the Sheep that can change in a flash,
Your peace they can shatter, your hope they can dash.
They’re Wolves in Sheep’s clothing. A clever disguise,
You’ll see them revealed when troubles arise.

They’ll snap at the heels of the Sheep as they graze,
And they’ll turn on each other with a speed sure to daze.
Their fangs rip the heart, their claws cut deep,
And then they change back to silent Sheep.

Forgive us o’Lord our two faced behaviour,
The times that we trample the cross of our saviour.
The times that we change and snap at the flock,
The times that we backbite, argue and mock.

Teach us o’Lord to wipe out and suppress,
The pride and the anger that leads to this stress.
Teach us o’Lord to unite as a Church,
So we can find you without a long search.

AUTHORS NOTE:
An unsuspecting Church is filled with Wolves in Sheep’s clothing. Wolves attack Sheep because they are easy targets. When we become Wolves, we prey on other Sheep of the flock. Before we let anger pride turn us into Wolves, we should remember that we are supposed to love our brother, not eat him.

The Way To Walk

To walk in the flesh is to be a man,
Day after miserable day.
To fulfil every want you possibly can,
The games of the body blindly to play.

If adultery, temper and greed are your way,
Jealousy and hatred your friends.
If robbery, murder and envy pays,
Lewdness and filth your morality bends.

I’m here to tell you there is a way out,
Be led by the spirit inside.
And avoid all the sin that has come about,
By your worldliness, ignorance and pride.

Our spirit it wars against the flesh,
It’s fruit is love and peace.
Kindness, long-suffering, these are best,
Gentleness, faith and hope never cease.

So think upon urges before you act,
And decide on where it came from.
If the flesh it is bad and that’s a fact,
If the spirit, be glad and go on.

So live in the spirit and walk in it too,
Do not become provoking or vain.
As Christ Jesus did, we also must do,
Live in the light of the Son, bind the rain.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Walking in the spirit is not some New Age psychic experience, but a way for us to test our actions, and control our more fleshy desires that will inhibit our Christian life. Before we get angry, tell a lie, steal etc, we should stop and determine the origin of the impulse. Is it from God or the Enemy? It is absolutely imperative that we not only talk of spiritual things, but walk in them too. This can be achieved by doing what we, as Christians, are so good at talking about.

The Way Of The World

Children dying with tears in their eyes,
Starvation and filth are Satan’s disguise.
His short time of rule is drawing near,
The way of the world is constant fear.

Our youth using crime to rule the night,
Lawlessness and vice, the Deceivers delight.
The populace shivers with nowhere to hide,
The way of the world is stubborn pride.

The elderly living in squalor and slums,
Despair and distrust are the Enemies guns.
Our social strata is based on neglect,
The way of the world is disrespect.

Parents who’s children can have a free reign,
Laziness and sloth are the Serpents domain.
Discipline’s crumbling and order’s gone hence,
The way of the world is indifference.

World leaders who bleed their countries dry,
Greed is the apple of Lucifer's eye.
So many who strive for the biggest slice,
The way of the world is avarice.

Scientific advances for comfort and joy,
Modern technology is the Devil’s toy.
We move further away from God’s plan for his nations,
The way of the world is segregation.

Evolution is taught in our uni’s and schools,
Falsities and lies are the Dark Prince’s tools.
We explain away our sickness and schism,
The way of the world is humanism.

But now some good news, we need it I think,
After being oppressed by society’s stink.
Jesus is coming in not days but hours,
To the Lord goes the victory, eternity is ours.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Satan, with the assistance of spiritually blind mankind, has created the unfortunate circumstances all men have to live in while on this world. Pick up a newspaper and the proof of our sad state of affairs is right under our noses. But despair not saints, for Jesus said that all these things must occur before the end of time. With this in mind, knowing that the time of the Lord is upon us, we should try harder than ever to clean out our houses, so the Lord will enter and sup with us and not pass us by.

The Problematic Bible

The world has many problems we know this for a fact,
They’re problems we’ve created by our ways to be exact.
But by far the largest problem those on Earth will face today,
Is a book that’s called The Bible, and the message it conveys.

Now I’m just going to say it, I’m afraid I can’t be gentle,
Because if you’re going to spread the Word, you’ve got to show some mettle.
The post modern doctrine of the world says that truth does not exist,
So a book that’s full of truth drives them all around the twist.

Do not be HOMOSEXUAL, don’t tell LIES or FORNICATE,
Do not SLANDER, CURSE or GOSSIP, be COVETOUS or HATE.
Do not commit ADULTERY, be FRAUDULENT or DOUBLE MINDED,
Avoid BLASPHEMY, RAPE, MURDER and being SPIRITUALLY BLINDED.

Take RESPONSIBILITY for your deeds and don’t be tolerant of SIN,
Don’t partake in IDOLATRY throw RELIGION in the bin.
Don’t just live to please your FLESH, living a Dog’s life,
Don’t be DECEIVED by FALSE DOCTRINE, avoid the butcher’s knife.

For a world that creates its own truth, this is a real slap in the face,
The things that everyone wants to do are considered a disgrace.
They don’t want to be reminded that the things they do are wrong,
Just go through life and please yourself make it your Swan Song.

That’s why the Bible’s not popular, not politically correct,
Its message is for everyone, poignant and direct.
There’s no way around it and it won’t be watered down,
You’re either headed down to hell, or going to wear an eternal crown.

So pardon me if my Bible offends you to the core,
You can call me intolerant, bible basher or a bore.
But I’m just trying to help you by showing an alternative,
The choice is yours to make, will you choose freedom or be a captive?

AUTHORS NOTE:
Sums up modern society doesn’t it! It can be terribly frustrating when those faced with the truth choose ignorance so as to avoid something as trivial as a lifestyle change. But you know what, it was no different 2000 years ago when Jesus walked among us and unless the Lord comes back beforehand, it will be the same in 2000 years time! Those who have an ear to hear WILL HEAR and those who don’t….won’t. Rejoice in the fact that no matter how bad it seems to us, God is in control of everything.

The Millenium Bug

A new era is dawning and a new creature stirs,
It will wake up and stretch as the new year occurs,
It’s arrival is dreaded throughout all the world’s lands,
For it holds our technology tight in it’s hands,
Is it winged, is it horned or does it move like a slug,
No one knows what to expect from the Millenium Bug.

In the rush for supplies, people scamper to buy,
It’s a race against time but one can only try,
Fill the bathtub with water, stock up on preserves,
If you don’t prepare now you’ll get what you deserve,
Buy lots of gas, get your bomb shelters dug,
And blame the hysteria on the Millenium Bug.

The fires of panic are fed by the media storm,
Puffed up hype from Reporters is becoming the norm,
As uncertainty grows all the prices inflate,
And they’ll grow even higher close to the date,
Retailers who treat the consumers as mugs,
Blame the rip off on the Millenium Bug.

As the people buy up big due to the sales pitch,
Over a scheme centred around a computer glitch,
Better upgrade your system and cash in your chips,
Better keep off the planes and ocean bound ships,
The world’s being bullied, as if by a thug,
By a scarecrow called the Millenium Bug.

One thing is for sure, guaranteed without hitch,
At the centre of the issue someone’s getting rich,
Don’t be fools for them friends, don’t believe all you hear,
Please don’t be bound up by accepting the fear,
And when you hear all the hype, give your shoulders a shrug,
And spray Baygon all over the Millenium Bug!

AUTHORS NOTE:
I don’t really know what will happen as the new century starts. No one does I think. We’ll just have to wait and see. But I am pretty sure that the Y2K Bug business is getting blown out of all proportion and somewhere, somehow, person or persons are getting rich out of all the hype and panic. I’ve heard the same things as everbody else in regard to the effects of the bug, and the general consencus from the “experts” is that their may be some disruption to the power supply in the short term, but nothing major or life threatening will come of it. Now don’t get me wrong saints, I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with that statement because I am not an “expert”, I say it probably would’nt hurt to top up the gas bottles in case of power disruption. By all means make a few allowances for unforseen circumstances just to be safe, but don’t get involved with the doomsday, survivalist hype that is going around and spend your nest egg on bomb shelters and pickled eggs. You know you could even ask the Lord for guidance in the matter. He’ll give you better advice than I can.

AFTERWORD: (1 Jan 2000)

Told you so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Easter Blues

Peter Cottontail hops wicker basket in arm,
To all good little Children in city or farm.
He brings bright coloured eggs, too many to choose,
I’ve got the sweet little Easter Bunny blues.

Aisles full of eggs in the stores leave no doubt,
That chocolate’s what Easter is all about.
With Bilby’s and Rabbits and Yowies you can’t lose,
I’ve got the Easter time consumer blues.

Easter parades and concerts abound,
A holiday season once more comes around.
People camping and boating and hitting the booze,
I’ve got the Easter vacation highway blues.

But why get the blues you probably ask,
Just kick up your feet and fill your hip flask.
Why are you distressed at the Easter season?
What in the world could be my reason?

Well I’ll tell you why Easter gets me down,
I’ll explain why my face wears a frightening frown.
You’re not going to like it, but I don’t really care,
So here’s the reason for my despair.

The cross can’t be found at Easter these days,
No one has the time to worship or praise.
The death of Jesus is a meaningless fable,
No one wants to supp with the Lord at his table.

No one cares that he rose so we all could live,
No one cares that he gave the world all he could give.
No one cares that his ways are the true path to glory,
An ungrateful world has forgotten the story.

So next year at Easter remember my tale,
And consider the thorns, the scourge and the nails.
And remember the blood of an innocent Lamb,
That was spilled for the gain of unworthy man.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Please Saints, enjoy the holiday season with your families. We all need a break from the hustle bustle of the world these days. But take some time out to remember why these days are Holy days. The time spent relaxing with our families and friends is so much richer when the great things that God has done for us are kept in remembrance.

Suffer The Little Children

Locked away in the dark for a deed that was wrong,
Robbed of the love for which all Children long,
With the fear and the heat it is so hard to breath,
He must wait for forgiveness. His cries to relieve.

The screams of abuse still ring in his ears,
He’s useless and stupid though still young in years,
He can do nothing right, he’s a dull witted pest,
There’s no pleasing his Parents, though he tries his best.

The punches and kicking impair his young frame,
His bones have been broken again and again,
Covered with bruised and stained with gore,
By the knuckle and boot he is wounded and sore.

Prodded with needles and burnt with the fire,
Tortured for punishment and tied up with wire,
The merciless beatings increase his woes,
The agony of childhood is all he knows.

Left by himself with no one to care,
It’s too much for a Toddler or young Child to bear,
Starving and cold he cries all alone,
For Mummy and Daddy to come back home.

This poor young fellow is but one of a lot,
Who don’t know the safety and warmth of the cot,
They don’t have a home of comfort and love,
Only pain and betrayal, a push or a shove.

To the Enemies influence their Parents succumb,
To his wiles and his ways their senses are numb,
And without the Lord to repair the pain,
In fear and in hurt these poor kids shall remain.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Every day we read it in the papers or see it on the Nightly News. We, although angered by the pointless and cruel abuse of defenceless Children, must remember that the abusers are God’s children too and Jesus died for them as well as you and me. If you need to pour out your rage, pour it out on the Enemy, because it’s his work the abusers are doing.

Stolen One

My identity’s gone, I’m afraid and alone,
Surrounded by people who stare.
I cry my despair for loved ones I miss,
Who is there? Who is there?

My dreaming has left me, I’m in a strange land,
A child of my people. Stolen away.
The politics man say I’m better off now,
The world of the white fellas where I must stay.

You gave me to white folks to look after me,
And teach me the “civilized” ways.
But my spirit longs for the ways that are lost,
In the times of my ancestors days.

But the churchman, he say that God wants me here,
And he sprinkled some water on me.
But I just want to be in the place,
Where my heart can be truly free.

One day I will have my own little child,
A child of this land he’ll be.
He wont forget the face of his people,
And his heart will be truly free.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Just another one of Satan’s foul works on the Earth was the Australian “Stolen Generation”. Some years ago the political powers that be (with the approval and co-operation of major churchs and their leaders) decided that the Aboriginal people were incapable of bringing up their own children in a “healthy” and “wholesome” and “Godly” environment. The result of this stroke of genius was that Aboriginal kids were taken from the care of their Mothers and families to be placed under the care of “approved” white families and church run orphanages. To this day the stories of physical, emotional and sexual abuse are still coming to light as these now grown up “Stolen Ones” tell their tales of misery. I guess they weren’t better off after all! Although the current Government and indeed, the current generation of Australians had nothing to do with this horrendous decision, I for one am not too proud to apologise for the stupidity and cruelty of our forefathers.

Safe Sex

The world’s become permissive, almost anything goes,
Satan sets the standards and blind people strike the pose.
Morals are a dying thing, it’s more important to have fun,
Whatever’s your thing, just do it, the party has begun.
But if you’re going to play the game keep the traps in mind,
There’s lots of things to ruin your fun, heaps of ties that bind.
But people don’t consider those, they just play and worry later,
But it’s in your soul’s best interest to become an anticipater.

Think about diseases, yes a physical price to pay,
A host of social maladies to haunt you all your days.
Warts and sores and rashes galore, yeast and fungus infections,
Require tablets, creams and lotions even antibiotic injections.
But these days it’s serious, AIDS can put you in the grave,
The ultimate price to pay for those who choose to misbehave.
No phrophylactic contraceptive’s provide 100% protection,
The axe could fall at any time, in any which direction.

But what about the deeper cost, the toll taken on your heart,
Each seed you sow on foreign ground forces you and God apart.
Adultery lurks at every turn hoping to catch you out,
Which drives a wedge into the heart of the ones we care about.
Families dissolve, Children run riot, angry and full of hate,
Because a selfish parent gave no thought to their familie’s long term fate.
And the yolk of fornication waits for Singles to swallow whole,
Every feather in your cap makes a new chain around your soul.

Remember what God wants of you, to know you from within,
So if you defile his temple what are you saying to him?
God created the sexual bond for Man and Wife to enjoy,
But worldly ways would have it become a meaningless, perverted toy.
Resist temptation and don’t be a victim of Satanic pleasure ploys,
Keep yourself pure, be your God’s Child, not one of the Hellbound Boys.
And if you ask for my advice, I can only say one thing,
If you really want to have safe sex, wear a wedding ring!!!!!

AUTHORS NOTE:
Don’t be a sucker to the modern day feeling of “If it feels good do it”. It is a trap laid for the foolhardy and ignorant. What feels good for the flesh or the ego may not be healthy for the spirit. The Word of God says that we are not to commit adultery, have sex out of wedlock (fornication) and avoid unclean practices (masturbation, pornography etc). But the Word of the world (Satan) says that these things are acceptable if it is good for you and does not interfere with others, if those concerned are consenting and what you do behind closed doors is your own business and should not be judged. What an amazing difference!! The choice is simple. Answer the needs of the flesh blindly like an animal or consider the health of the spirit which longs to have a relationship with God. Be on your guard, for Satan will try to deceive you into believing that your actions are justified and when you are deep enough into the trap it will spring and your world will collapse. Don’t for a minute think that your actions will have no consequences. The ramifications of sin will affect the world of your body and spirit. Christians, be very careful!

Run The Race

We’re running the race; it’s a shameful disgrace,
Rushing to and fro all about the place,
Doing our best to try and keep pace,
Shattered inside like a broken vase.

Our morals and standards we are quick to erase,
Values of family and society we’re keen to displace,
It all seems to be just a tragic waste,
Stop the world, let’s get off and float into space.

Of mercy and kindness there is little trace,
Attitudes and ideas are as caustic as mace,
I just want to hide and cover my face,
So I can’t see facade’s transparent as lace.

Everyone wants but will never show grace,
Money and possessions are the goal of the chase,
Greed lust and lies are what people embrace,
I think I’ll stop running….or end up a head case!

AUTHORS NOTE:
It really is a rat race on the Earth these days! Everything moving so fast, people going to and fro, the days and years go by so fast. While we are busy rushing around doing our thing, we have forgotten everything that is really important along the way. Just what has this busy world cost us? Think of the time we could have with our families and all the other important things in life if we took more time for a breather from life. Maybe we could recover some of the morals that we didn’t notice disappearing over the years. Perhaps we would recover our intolerance for evil deeds that seem to be rampant and unpunished these days. Makes you wonder hey???

Leave It Till My Death Bed

What a ball I am having, my life is a joy,
I’m happy and content with things as they are,
I’ve had everything I wanted since I was a boy,
I’m pampered and well bred, a socialite star.
So don’t tell me about sin, it’s far from my mind,
And I don’t want to know about God’s light,
My life’s too much fun to seek or to find,
So I’ll find God on my death bed and I’ll be right.

I don’t know if God is real, I’m not saying that he’s not,
But life offers many theories try the lot I say,
I’ll live my life the best way I can no matter what,
I live for the moment and take what comes day by day.
I don’t want to worry about what’s right and wrong,
I don’t want to waste my life being righteous and contrite,
My list of things to do and see is thorough and quite long,
So I’ll say sorry on my death bed and I’ll be right.

I don’t go to church and I have no call to go,
Religion is a bore, the same thing every week,
It’s just another way to get a man to blow his dough,
And all I see are hippocrites who don’t do what they speak.
Why go through the motions and make a mockery of the Lord,
I’m a good person, so my soul’s not in plight,
So I wont waste my time with a system that’s flawed,
I’ll just leave it till my death bed and I’ll be right.

But what if I was to make a big change,
Make a choice to follow the narrow path,
Then the man that I was would be evil and strange,
And I could live without fear of the aftermath.
So maybe I’ll start to think about things,
And maybe I should broaden my sight,
Maybe I should search for God and see what it brings,
And trust him till my death bed and I’ll be right.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Don’t go through life enjoying the moment and living only for the thrill of the plentiful earthly pleasures available to us. This world is but a tiny drop in the bucket of eternity, and we only get one go at life and then we are judged on our performance. Purposefully living a life of sin and then turning around at the last minute of life to say sorry to God is a hippocritical waste of time. I’m not saying that you can’t get saved on your death bed, because you can. But would God honour your pleas for mercy if you have deliberately avoided him all your life, only saving a few desperate seconds for him at the end? Think about it.
